Training programs

Joint Program (Department of Biochemistry and Department of Computer Science and Operational Research).

In 2001, the Université de Montréal was the first Canadian university to offer academic degree programs in integrated bioinformatics. Up to now, the Université de Montréal is the only Canadian university to offers bioinformatics training programs at all levels:

- Bachelor
- Master (Supervisors and Co-Supervisors list)
- Ph.D
- Post-Doctoral studies

The training programs have been elaborated by Gertraud Burger (Biochemistry) in collaboration with Nadia El-Mabrouk (DIRO) and contributions by numerous other faculty members. The implementation of the programs could only be accomplished through the strong and constant support of Mr. Bouvier, director of the Biochemistry department. We are also pleased to acknowledge the major contribution of DGTIC (Direction générale des technologies de l'information et des communications) for computer support to all our programs (including staff, servers and computers, software, help with teaching rooms, electronic lists, etc.).
